Wellesley Island State Park

Wellesley Island State Park has the largest camping complex in the Thousand Islands-Seaway region. A few wilderness sites along the St. Lawrence River are accessible only by foot or boat. Within this rustic paradise, fishing is excellent, particularly for muskie in the fall. For boaters, the park has a full-service marina and boat launches. A sandy beach offers great swimming and there is a camp store, laundromat, arcade, and nine-hole golf course on the island. A main attraction is the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center, which includes exhibits, live animals, varied habitats, and miles of trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and nature education.
