Woodlawn National Cemetery

An official Path Through History Site! Established in 1863, Woodlawn Cemetery is one of the nation's distinctive "garden cemeteries," providing a spectacular setting to honor the 300,000 individuals memorialized on its grounds. Its monuments represent some of the finest examples of memorial architecture and art in the nation, including more than 1,300 private mausoleums. Mark Twain's gravesite is here.
