This 3,461-area's many habitats include open fields, shrub lands, woodlands, wetlands, ponds, and an extensive natural Lake Ontario barrier beach. This diversity benefits a wide variety of both game and non-game wildlife species. Game species on the area include waterfowl, white tailed deer, wild turkey, and ruffed grouse. Fishing opportunities abound on Lake Ontario. Area bordered by Southbeach State Park.
