Close to the heart of all that made the Catskills America's first vacation destination, Hunter is located in the beautiful mountaintop region of the Northern Catskill Mountains. Hunter Mountain has 13 lifts, 67 trails, 320 skiable acres, four gladed areas, four freestyle areas, as well as a snow-tubing park and a large base lodge for chilling out. In the warmer months, Hunter hosts festivals, mountain biking, sky rides, and more. Dining includes Van Winkle's Restaurant, food court, pizza shop, deli, and an on-slope waffle stand. Miles of state hiking trails lead to breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley and the surrounding peaks. The highest fire tower in the state is a moderate hike from the summit of the Skyride. Waterfalls abound, including the highest cascading waterfall in the state. The area terrain is ideal for fishing, camping, mountain biking and many other outdoor adventures.
