Fort Greene Park

Fort Greene Park in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill neighborhoods of Brooklyn is more than 30 acres large. A monument toward the center of the park memorializes thousands of American soldiers, sailors, and civilians who died aboard British prison ships from 1776-1783 moored in Wallabout Bay (East River). The Fort Greene Greenmarket takes place on Saturdays year-round.
