Experience the oldest documented plantation in Louisiana. Destrehan Plantation is just 25 minutes from New Orleans and 10 minutes from the New Orleans International Airport. Our costumed historical interpreters will intrigue you with stories of the families who lived on the plantation free and enslaved. After the tour, guests can view a folk-life demonstration and self-explore the dependency buildings and grounds. Shop our Plantation Store gift shop for that special gift and grab a bite to eat in our Indigo Cafe. Open daily from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
