Cross Orchards Historic Site
Cross Orchards Historic Site invites visitors to explore Western Colorado’s agricultural and transportation history at a preserved orchard site established in 1899 by the Red Cross Land and Fruit Company. Once a massive fruit-packing operation, the site is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features preserved and reconstructed historic structures, including the original packing shed and bunkhouse. As part of the Museums of Western Colorado, admission can be purchased alone, or included with the Experience Pass , which provides access to all three museum sites - Cross Orchards, Museum of the West, and Dinosaur Journey. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal events, train rides, and a museum store with locally inspired gifts. Open seasonally from the first weekend in May - end of December.
