Monthly Living History: Farmstead Fridays – Preparing for Winter

Winter was a time of scarcity for everyone in the 18th century, so farmers had to be sure to bring in the harvests and preserve them in time. Join them as they process wheat, harvest pumpkins, and craft foods and medicines for winter storage. This free event is part of their Monthly Living History Series. From April through October 2026, Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts Soldier Saturdays & Farmstead Fridays. Presented in partnership with Americana Corner, these free monthly programs explore military and civilian life during the American Revolution.
