Logger Sports Returns to Mission, BC! The City of Mission’s Forestry Department invites you to join us on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Fraser River Heritage Park for the return of Mission Logger Sports. Mission has a proud history of hosting Logger Sports, with events dating back to the 1970s and reflecting our strong forestry heritage. In partnership with the Fraser Valley Logger Sports Association, this free community event will showcase the skill and talent of both professional and local competitors. As Canada’s first community forest, the Mission Municipal Forest continues to support local projects and community development. Reviving Logger Sports celebrates this legacy—bringing athletes, families, and spectators together for a full day of excitement and community spirit About the Event Celebrates local forestry heritage through fast‑paced, high‑energy events such as axe throwing, crosscut sawing, chainsaw disciplines, speed chopping – AND MORE! Features both professional and local competitors, showcasing skill, precision and athleticism. Provides a full day of free, family‑friendly entertainment at Fraser Valley Heritage Park. Boots local tourism by attracting competitors and spectators from across Canada, the United States and internationally Supports local businesses through increased foot traffic, vendor participation and promotion Encourages volunteerism and community involvement by engaging local groups and organizations Sponsorship Information We are seeking support from community partners through financial contributions, in‑kind donations (materials, equipment, services, or prizes), or promotional assistance. All sponsorship directly supports event operations, youth engagement, competitor safety, and free admission for the public. Sponsors will receive recognition before, during, and after the event.
