Afterschool Series: Unity (ages 6-10)

Fall Term at Masterworks is centered around the principle of unity! In this ten-week afterschool series, young artists will discover how artists bring different elements together to create a sense of harmony and connection. Through colour, shape, pattern, texture, repetition, and composition, students will explore how individual parts work together to create a cohesive whole. Each week introduces a new medium and artistic approach, encouraging playful experimentation, skill-building, and creative problem-solving. Each week introduces a new medium and approach. From painting and printmaking to sculpture and mixed media, young artists will learn how unity can transform a collection of ideas into artwork that feels balanced, intentional, and complete. Perfect for curious minds who love to make, imagine, and explore. Duration: 10-week program, meeting each week for 1.5 hours. Dates (Ages 6-10): Tuesdays, September 15 – November 24 (no class Oct 20) Dates (Ages 11+): Wednesdays, September 16 – November 25, 2026, (no class on Oct 21 or Nov 11 as we observe Veterans’ Day), click here Time: 4:00 – 5:30pm Class Size: Maximum of 12 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment. Location: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, in the Art Classroom Materials: All necessary art supplies provided. With the exception of digital tools, students are welcome to bring mediums they are practicing to each session. Guest Artists: Whenever possible we will invite artists and/or performers to share their expertise and artistic perspectives. Field Trips: Sessions offer real-world exposure to the theme with visits to Masterworks’ wider Museum and Gallery spaces as well as the Botanical Gardens. Important reminder: A cancellation must be made 14 days before the registration program start date to receive a refund. No refund will be given within 14 days of the program date.
