2026 Prescott Area Historical Society Speaker Series at the Prescott History Center Steamboats, Towboats, and River History Friday August 7th - Dr. John Anfinson Saving St. Anthony Falls St. Anthony Falls – the Mississippi River’s only major waterfall – lies one tick of the geologic clock from ending a 12,000-year journey. Holding back the clock is a dam or cutoff wall no one can see, and few know exists.
